God’s Got my Back

AS PREVIOUSLY STATED in another post, my Harley-Davidson Street Glide ST was totaled. My son and I were hit by a guy the day before we left for our summer vacation. But Gods’ got my back and He always protects us.

After everything happened, we decided it was more important to spend time together as a family and enjoy our vacation instead of immediately replacing the bike. So we took more of the insurance money than planned and made memories on our summer vacation. No regrets.

But it is written that God will work all things out for my good, because I love Him. (Romans 8:28)

The Bible says we WERE sinners, but through Christ we are made righteous and become new creations. So I am no longer a sinner. Do I still make mistakes? Absolutely. But I ask God — and those affected — to forgive me, and I genuinely try every day to be better (Christ-like) and not repeat those mistakes. My batting average keeps getting better every day!

Now here’s the crazy part…

Literally ONE DAY before heading home from vacation, we stopped at Tifton Harley-Davidson. It had to be the tenth Harley dealership we visited during that trip. We walked in, and sitting there on the right was the exact bike I originally wanted a year earlier — a Road Glide Fast Johnnie ST — the bike that had been completely out of my price range.

Now, one year later, there it sat waiting on the right person. That person was me lol

A salesman greeted me and saw me looking at it. He said, “That bike can be yours.”

I literally laughed out loud and said, “Okay… give it to me OTD (Out The Door) for $10K less than sticker and I’ll buy it before I leave.”

He smiled and said, “I’ll get working on that.”

My wife and I looked at each other and just smiled.

A little later they walked over to us and said, “Your paperwork is ready.”

Again, my wife and I looked at each other thinking, “No way this is happening.”

We walked into finance, and the lady said, “Can you do $1K more?” Which meant $9K under sticker price OTD for a BRAND NEW Road Glide Fast Johnnie ST.

I said, “Fine. Let’s do it.”

So there I was — in swimming trunks, flip-flops, with my whole family and even the dog — buying the exact bike I originally wanted for the same price as the bike I had settled for the year before.

Tell me God doesn’t work things out. And I want believe you lol I stopped believing in coincidences and fully believe in God’s divine appointments.

God preordained that stop, that moment, and that bike.

God is good ALL the time, and ALL the time God is good.

If you’ll put Him first and allow Him into your life, He’ll always have your back.
